The one with some stuff about Thursday show and other random musings

As its Xmas week, we're throwing a few different things at the show. Each Xmas week we always throw on a few celebs and this Xmas week is no different! The original Voicestrumentalist, Michael Winslow will be on the show Thursday night in our last broadcast of 2006! Yup, he's the guy with all the mad sound effects and voices, from Police Academy!

For those of you that are interested in bedroom activities other than sleeping, dont miss the Cork Talks Back Adult Toy Show later on!

7 days to go. At time of posting, this is the time where theTurkey is just hitting the back of your tonsils! Another year has flown by and its amazing how quick the whole thing is gone by. Its gone by so fast, there would really want to be a dope test!

The RedFM Xmas party was held last Friday night, with the main event taking place at the Fota Sheraton! I arrived home around 4am and contrary to popular belief I didnt kidnap a ring tailed lemur, from nearby Fota. I did attempt a few things in a nearby golf cart though! Im waiting to steal the photos from other people, but for some reason alot of the photos seem to be kept close to their chests! Probably a wise move!

Its Christmas week and its a weird week, as always. People scurrying around trying to buy anything that can be wrapped. Do take care though, when walking through Pana, as the annual Xmas child and buggy race seems to take place from early morning throught to late evening. Just have your wits around you and hopefully, your ankles and heels wont be crushed by some mad woman piloting a buggy down Pana, in the fastest time possible. Also be on the lookout for Tayto Snax and half full Ribena cartons, flying through the air. Get one of them in your eye and its CUH for Christmas!!!!!

As is the tradition on the show for Xmas week, its one big party. Well not really, but it takes on a lighter role for the week with a few celeb guests and major giveaways. Speaking of giveaways, on our final show of the year, which is this coming Thursday, I will be giving away a Turkey! How cool is that? Over the last year or so, Ive given away KY Liquid, Movie Tickets, Holiday vouchers, Lingerie, Tins of Polish and a piece of wood. Now, to top all that, if that was possible, I have a Turkey to give away!!!!! In the words of a few mad yanks....AWESOME! Karl Spain will be dropping by tonight, Joe Rooney tomorrow night. Speaking of tomorrow night, we will be having the Adult Toy show in the 11 hour! We will also have a few "bits" to giveaway!!! Who knows what and who will be calling in for the remainder of the week!

Theres more to come no doubt and Im hoping to get an update in here later on. Im just up the walls at the mo trying to organise a few bits for the show during the week :( :)

The one with a "simulated" incest pic!

13 days to go! Kinda hard to believe really isnt it! For some of you theres only 14 days of actual living left. No doubt quite a number of you will be out killing yourself with alcohol on St.Stephens night. Id be attempting the same too, but Im gigging St.Stephens night! Im still not feeling the Xmas buzz and at this stage I dont think Ill catch it either! Its not bah humbug or anything, Im just not feeling it this year....again! I managed to do some Xmas shopping over the last few days and take a tip from someone who was in town on Saturday afternoon, dont bother. Go shopping early mid-week! Or in the middle of the night! Theres still a few bits left to get, then it'll be time to send out as many Xmas cards as possible! Im still getting the question "What do you want for Xmas?". I still dont know! I am gearing towards a sat-nav though!

Im back on the air tonight for the first time since last Wednesday! A few days off are great, but its kinda hard to know what to do with yourself. Yes I spent some of it in front of the Xbox, Yes I spent some of it trudging around buying Xmas presents and Yes I spent too much time recovering from too many glasses of lemonade! On another note, I was in a far flung, cold place on Sunday and heres a photo from what I made! Big crowd turnout too!

I normally dont bother posting scantily clad people pics, as you all know too well where to find them, but on a different note, I came across this earlier (not literally!!!! fuckin pervs)

Its Paris and her sister! Im shocked actually, for once! I really thought those limos had taller ceilings! I hope no one farted! Well at least they cant impregnate one another! All thats missing from the picture is.....well I wont go into that today!

Besides all that, theres not much else going on, as usual! Back on the air tonight from 9pm!

Compliments of World of Wonder I also gave away everything from Poker Tables to Monopoly! We couldnt get a line out of the building for a solid 30 minutes. Reaction was off the charts for the giveaway!

Theres Xmas decor up all over the station

Ive already put a present under the RedFM Xmas tree

More hard work being done!!!

Dave Mac helping in the celebration of Butlers chocolates picking up a major award. They were kind enough to give us a box of choccies, which we proceeded to eat on ear! Exciting stuff! I believe the other "individual" on the other station (the crowd that arent number one at night) opened a can of Tanora and ate a packet of cheese n onion on air, to compete!

Toy show on the radio - Impossible?

Later on this evening, one of the good people from World of Wonder will be coming in with some gizmos and toys! It'll be a good bit of fun and Ill have plenty of pics up here tomorrow!

Im off tomorrow night, Sunday night and Monday night. Mr.MacArdle will be holding the fort while Im away. I havent had a few nights off in a while so its going to be strange. No doubt most of my time will be taken up getting the 5 million xmas decorations down from the attic. Last year we bought a fake tree, so twas grand and simple getting it out of the box and set up. Getting the thing into the attic was another story. I had to shove it UP a ladder for half and hour trying to get it into the attic. I should have listened to Hulk Hogan more when he was rambling on about drinking milk and taking vitamins and so forth. My big dilemma is trying to get the thing down. I feel it might be easier just to throw it through the ceiling.
Speaking of Xmas the Sky TV guide collided with my letter box yesterday. In between ad breaks on Sexcetra last night I had a quick fumble through it. Same oul shite for Xmas. Nothing good on from what I can see! Christmas night is movie night in the gaff, so Im hoping the HD-DVD version of World Trade Center arrives in time!

For those of you who didnt hear my rant about McDonalds on Sunday night here it is again, in a possible extended version!
Last Saturday I was in Mahon Point with her goodself wandering around! After much wandering and even more spending, the hunger pangs arrived and a trip to the food court was in order. All very well. After some thought we decidedon McDonalds. Herself wanders off, among the millions of abandoned children running around, to find a seat. Yours truly starts eyeing up the McQ's. There was about 4-5 people in the smallest q, so I hopped into that one. Big mistake. Some oul Bridy at the front must have been ordering enough food so she could send it out to Africa. That took some time! Meanwhile the largest q was been served at light speed. A warning for you all. The smallest q isnt always the fastest. You can apply this theory to any given situation! Size does matter after all. Anyway, the guy in front of me had his kid with him, and following a good 10 minutes and a truck for the oul Bridys african shipment he saunters up to the till. The girl behind does the usual spiel and he goes........."What do ye have?". Now I was already aggravated, plus the fact that I hate Q's (and P's for that matter) wasnt making me any calmer. What do ye have? Jesus H Christ, what did he expect to find at McDonals, Spaghetti Bolognese. I was really close to tapping him on the shoulder and saying "They serve Big Macs and Happy Meals, hurry the fuck up". Eventually he ordered a "Smiley meal" and a fish supper for himself. I shit you not (here comes the extended bit) he asked for a fish supper. Now McDonalds is one of the biggest brands in the world and heres some savage asking for a fish supper. Eventually he settled on that Fillet O Fish thing. Now as most people now and in my own personal McDonalds dining experience, the oul Fillet O Fish isnt very popular, so that took up even more time! That said, they pushed him to one side and took my order! I hope the toy is the "Smiley meal" was broken!

On a final nerdy note, all you Halo fans have a peek at this if you havent seen it already!

Blog now over 2 years old!

Just realised that this oul Blog is over 2 years old and this is the 426th post. While not technically an update every day, take out weekends, hospital visits and downright laziness, it aint bad!

A section of todays update is going to be a bit nerdy! Last Friday I bought the HD-DVD drive add on for the Xbox 360. 6 times better quality than standard DVD, it said on the box. It wouldnt be far wrong. In anticipation I started ordering a few HD-DVDs from around the web. Most of them have arrived and this morning I spent a good 150 minutes taking in Superman Returns. I didnt like the movie that much in the cinema, but its after taking a new lease of life on HD-DVD. The image quality draws you into the screen in a way Ive never experienced before. If truth be told, the last few months I havent been that pushed about watching DVDs or even making the cinema and as cheesy as it sounds, HD-DVD has reignited my passion for film! The HD-DVD drive comes with a copy of King Kong HD and I cant count the amount of times Im after watching the T-Rex scrap! I compared 2 copies of Batman Begins yesterday. The original DVD and the HD-DVD. The difference is vast, especially on a 7ft screen!

Its 20 days to go, to the day adn then its all over. No doubt at around this time in 20 days time, most of you will be stuffed to the gills with a good Xmas dinner! Its going to be around this time that the Quality Street are pulled out. 20 minutes on, the booze if flowing. An hour later it will still be flowing, but more than likely down the side of the chair! 2 hours later someone will do the inevitable.....Turkey Sandwiches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On a final note and as promised
