THE ONE ON A TUESDAY

Well, then the blog is starting to slow down as I’m not too far away from taking holidays…and paternity leave! Thanks for all the kind words over the last while, and the blog will have the bambino info as it happens…sorta!

This be the week for action, but more than likely the main event will be next week..or maybe slightly later.

So the mind fucking continues, especially on the drive home after the show, where the enormity of the situation hits home time and time again. And by Jaysus does it hit home! On Sunday night, as a million thoughts raced through my head, it felt like Mike Tyson hitting me with a locomotive! But I’m really looking forward to the whole thing and as usual will attempt to put nerves to one side and try and be the best supporting husband and dad I can be! I’ve been in denial for a bit, but now, this week the denial is now only a river in Egypt!

THE ONE WITH F$%K KNOWS

As I begin to type something onto the screen I have no idea where this blog post is going!! I need to go see Shrek 4 later on, but I have no great deal of will to do so, but I have to! I also need to make a breakfast, but can’t be arsed with that either.

That said, I’ve been slaving away since around 10ish this morning, sitting in front of a monitor, naked, punching keys and so forth. Yesterday I spent a bit of time with Crackdown 2, which I’ll bang on about tonight and I also horsed into Red Dead Redemption, which I’ll no doubt bang on about again tonight!

So if you’ve read this far, bless you, you poor crater…I thought I heard a sneeze.

As I said, I have no idea where this blog post will go so before I start revealing myself, although I am clothed now, sorta. I’m gonna shoot off. Oh Christ, the innuendo is far too much. And speaking of far too much, well…era….feck it!!!!!

And yes, upon reading back, this posting does exhibit signs of madness! And speaking of madness…

THE ONE WITH BABY THOUGHTS

We’re less than a month away from being parents and the thought is still incredibly daunting on yours truly, but at the same time I’m counting down the days. What has amazed me though, is peoples attitudes.

For something that is classed as one of the most joyous occasions in life and the whole miracle of life is a mindfuck once you get thinking about it, people are incredibly negative.

All I get is “Oh no more sleep” “Oh you’ll have plenty of sleepless nights” “Oh my child is 15 now and still has can’t sleep” “Oh child birth is terribly stressful” and so on and so forth. WTF!!!! Why can’t people just have something positive to say as opposed to banging on about THEIR doom and gloom. Some fuckers are so wrapped up in their own lives that they think because their little darling would drive a JCB through the house in the blink of an eye, that every ones little darling would do the same!

That said, it’s not everyone! The bandits I work with seem to be well in touch with the craic, but its the random strangers and older folk bringing the apocalypse that is making me wonder “Why the fuck did you open your legs in the first place!”

It’s like the good oul days on this blog. Updates twice a week. This week has been batshit crazy and I’m still playing catchup but anyway…something to amuse your goodselves on a Friday.

THE ONE WITH AN EXCLUSIVE

Yesterday I drove to Dublin and made Bewleys in 2 hours. Great to see my road tax money actually getting some use, don’t worry about the state of the local roads, as long as we can get to Dublin in around 2ish hours, that’s all that matters!!! The sole purpose of me going to Dublin was to sit down and have a chat to Jonah Hill and Russell Brand about Get Him To The Greek (Review up later). As these things go, times change and so on, so I spent most of the day hanging around..which I don’t mind, nature of the game and all that. But the actual press room was like a sauna, all we needed were towels. Anyway, I got to chat with Jonah Hill first who was very laid back and very nice and then nearly 4 hours later I caught up with Russell Brand who was so incredibly lovely. The guy was so gracious and not full of bullshit, and gave me a nice little exclusive regarding his sequel to My Booky Wook. The full interviews can be heard in a Get Him To The Greek special this Sunday (June 27th) from 10pm. It’s not for the faint at heart. Anyway, here is a small, wee taster of whats to come!
