The one with some good (possibly) books for World book day

Later on during the show, I'll be going through a list of "cool" books as recommended by the staff of RedFM. No expense was spared for this research. It consisted of sending one of those emails that go to everybody. Most of the budget was spent on hanging around for replies. Anyway, that's happening later on. All for World Book Day

For now though, I just had a rustle through my own book shelves and took a few pics. Associates link to amazon.com as well. Bare in mind I'm not a big fiction fan. Anyways...have a read.

Industrial Light and Magic - Mark Cotta Vaz
For anyone who's into film. I picked the ILM book up on Ebay after much begging, pleading and lying to the seller who was refusing to ship outside the states. I got it for a bargain, compared to the huge prices I could have paid in Cork. Its a mind boggling book and such a great coffee table book as well.

Miss America - Howard Stern
I'm a huge Howard Stern fan since the mid 90's and Miss America is a fantastic read. I read the whole thing in a few nights. Could not put it down at all. Plenty of celeb scandals and comments too boot! Really funny and some great insights from one of the radio industries best!

Long way round - Charley Boorman and Ewan McGregor
I had Charley Boorman on the show about the book, which I read in a matter of nights as well. Great tales about an amazing journey that himself and Ewan undertook. I know theres been more journeys by the lads, but this is the original, and in my view the best.

Etiquette for Outlaws - Rob Cohen and David Wollock
Way, way back in the day I spoke to the 2 authors on the phone and this book has probably been in the toilet with me more than any other. Plenty of madness and simple to pick up, read and put down again! Basically, a how, what, what not and how to do everything that matters.

Pryor Convictions - Richard Pryor
One of the greatest comedians to have ever lived. A wonderful little insight into the brilliance that is Richard Pryor.
The devil in the the kitchen - Marco Pierre White
I'm a big fan of Gordon Ramsay, but for pure rawness and talent I think Marco takes the prize. Absolutely brilliant book with great tales of Oliver Reed and shagging diner's wives.

Andy Kaufman revealed - Bob Zmuda
This a great book by Andy's life long collaborator, Bob Zmuda (who would dress up as Tony Clifton at times). One of the better books available about Andy. Also have a nose off Lost in the Funhouse.

Great Escapes - Theo Kalomirakis
Being a fan of putting cinemas into houses and rooms, this is the bible for me. An amazing architect, Theo Kalomirakis has designed theaters for many high rollers. Buy this book and be prepared to drool.
Banksy Wall and Piece - Banksy
Only picked this up last year, but fascinating insight into the man, the myth and the legend!

My boring ass life - Kevin Smith
Yes, predictable from me I know. Basically its the director and writers blog put into book form. Great posts / pages and some heartfelt touching moments.
