Long weekend is nearly over

6 hours till Monday and I gotta say Ive had a nice few days off! Friday night I headed out for Jazzy Jeff at the Savoy. I was planning on driving in and driving home, but a mate kept pestering to make it a "proper" night out, so I got the train in! I used to DJ for years and watching Jazzy Jeff was inspiring to say the least! The place went absoultely bonkers when the man came on, after the legend that is Stevie G! From The Police to Kanye West, The Savoy didnt stop bangin!!!!!! Seeing the guy perform brought a big dopey grin to my face, maybe twas the drink but Jazzy Jeff was one of the best nights / gigs Ive ever been at! I took some really shitty video with my cam phone and a few crappy pics to boot. Stevies blog (link at the side) has some savage pics!

Anyways, thats it. Im off to enjoy whats left Ive my night off. Normal service resumed tomorrow and back on the air tomorrow night @ 9pm!

For any of you Xbox360 people, in case you didnt know, Tomb Raider Legends is now available to download as a demo on Xbox Live. Lara Croft kept me up till 4 this morning and as for the demo..its shortish and sweet. Again nothing mind blowingly next gen, but nice all the same!

Yet another ache and pain. Im after contracting a toothache on the left side of me gob now, will the aches, pains, infections and sickness ever let up! I dont know if Ive gone a full week with having a complaint since January. Maybe Im falling apart...internally! Either way Neurofen is currently battling the toothache, and there not doing much of a job if truth be told!

I looked out the window this morning to see a nice blue X spray painted onto the grass near the top of the drive. Every second house seems to have this today! Maybe tis something to do with the Census. Either that or Bush is looking for more oil! Talk about X marks the spot! Talking about the census, our copy arrived yesterday and Ive only got a chance to look at it today. Nothing too painful although some people have found one of the questions extremely insensitive! The question being to do with the wording more than anything. How many children have you given birth to that are alive. Thats not a quote but the jist of it! We had some calls about it last night on Cork Talks Back and I agree, its a bit OTT Afterall a birth is a birth!

I spoke to Pat O Shea yesterday evening about his offer of doing an open spot @ his new comedy night at Cubiculo on Drawbridge St! All went well and the offer is still open so the next Thursday night Ive off and there on, Im going have a lash off it! Speaking of that Comedy night, the next one isnt on until Thursday week, so give Pat a break looking for tickets! Wait a week at least! For years, Ive always been writing material, mainly for the show. Alot of it doesnt get used for numbers of reasons, so Ill dig into the archives to see can I find any gems.....probably not though :)

The latest season of American Chopper seems to have wrapped on Discovery, so last night when I got home I had feck all Sky+'d bar some MegaStructures thing about the Palm Island in Dubai. Mad, but interesting! Ive put my name down for 6 ft of sand! Maybe Ill set up a stall selling lighters or cakes or something! Speaking of TV, one of my favourite TV shows The Simpsons, is headed for the big screen. I saw the trailer late last night and I didnt get a chance to play it on the show. If I get a spare moment, Ill play it tonight!

Keeping with movies, I havent taken a trip to the flickhouse in quite some time! Theres not a great deal in that Im interested in seeing! I am looking forward to the new Superman movie though! I was weaned on Star Wars and Superman (one from each breast) when I was younger! I still remember the disappointment when I finally got a Superman suit and found out it didnt make me fly. Other kids hurled themselves out of windows trying to make the thing work, but as far as I was concerned if the fecking thing that do a vertical take off I wasnt interested! There was similar disappoint when a lightsaber I got as a pressie didnt light up and saw the sideboard in half! Seriously though, the oul Superman movie looks to be great! One movie I have zero interest in seeing is Basic Instinct 2! Christ, is there anyone that still wants to see Sharon Stone get her tits out! The trailer looked shite! Ok it featured lesbians for a second or 2, but who cares! If I really want to pay out €50 for food and a ticket to see some ould wans get their tits out and do some simulated Lesbo antics, Ill go see it in a lapdancing club! Id imagine the bank balance for Sharon is fairly low at the moment, so no wonder she signed up to do this piece of rubbish! Maybe its wrong of me to suggest the movie isnt great considering I havent seen it, but Sharon is about 104 now and if the first one was anything to go by I rest my case! Im sure someone will knock one off the wrist because of it, but at the same time if your looking for porn theres always the thing called the internet! Other than that, Im also looking forward to seeing Posiedon, The Enron movie and the Xmen : The Last Stand

Im a bit late today with the oul update. I know some of you have gotten into the habit at reading this at lunch time! Well its dinner time reading now almost! Penalty Points are making headlines again, and this time theres 30 odd new ones. Some of them are way off the mark, some are rewritten twice in my estimation. I took the dog out for a spin and a walk today and people dont seem to be aware at all of the new points! If things dont pick up, it wont be cheaper car insurance we'll be looking for but better public transport, cos none of us will be driving. We briefly touched on the PP's last night and will do a bigger follow up later on tonight!
Theres also new poll up my bebo page regarding the penalty points and its going to run for the next few days so if you think there good or bad..vote!

I discovered a new spot today for walkies with the hound! Somewhere I never even new existed!

I had a few emails this morning regarding Wrestlemania. It was the first time in years that I didnt watch a Mania Live. Im not a wrestling fan so to speak, anymore, but Ill still watch Wrestlemania! I just couldnt justify €21.95 for the thing! I figure I give Sky enough! I got the results this morning at that was about it. It would have been nice to see Bret Hart make an appearance, after being at the hall of fame presentation..but such is life!

Its a short week this week as Im starting to shift a wee bit of holiday time, so Im off Thursday and Sunday night! Theres an Ann Summers party going on in the house Friday night, so Im gonna have to hit the trail for the night! Hopefully nobody will "injure" themselves! I guess us men dont care about these A.S. parties! We're only interested in the who bought what and how many batteries will we buy from the 24 hour garage!

Sunday Mass

Well another weekend bits the dust, for me at least. Theres a few hours left for some of you! I had a longish weekend this time round, being off on Thursday and all! I was working doing a small few bits and pieces but overall it was very relaxing, just what the doctor ordered!

Bought a much needed coffee table and some mirrors over the weekend and opened 1 too many bottles of wine! That was it really! To be perfectly honest, Im not in much blogging mood now, so normal services shall be resumed tomorrow. Cool Usit promotion kicks off tonight!!!

Just another quick update. Even though Im only up since one, today has been a really extremely relaxing day...which is suprising. The stuff I needed to get done went fairly smoothly. Ok Im off tonight and have literally just woken up. I didnt get to bed till five this morning. Called over to a mate for a while after the show, came home and fired on the Xbox 360 till five! That new Battlefield 2 : Modern Combat demo thats just gone up on Xbox Live is top notch all together! Thats what kept me up to be honest. I actually feel now like Ive been run over by a tank, for some reason! Christ I feel like going back to bed, but I have a few bits to do. Day off but still working!

The show has been really, really busy lately which is a great sign. Texts, calls, emails and everything else has been off the charts! As some of you know, I was asked to do an open spot at the new comedy night, run by Pat O Shea. Even though I am off tonight, I just cant make it this week. Maybe next week, as Im off next Thursday and Sunday. Im always writing material for the show and just keeping things archived so maybe Ill have a shot at the standup...for a laugh!
